Job summary

Ascension is hiring an Occupational Therapist for the Outpatient Therapy Services team in Pensacola, FL. This full-time role features a sign-on bonus of $5,000 and requires a Florida OT license, BLS within 30 days, and a Bachelor's degree (Master's or Doctorate preferred).

You will assess patients, design and implement care plans, document progress, and mentor assistants while ensuring safe, effective therapy.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Assess patient's ability to safely and effectively perform independent living skills.
• Design the appropriate plan of care, including type and frequency of treatment. Implement the treatment plan using appropriate modalities.
• Document findings of patient progress. Monitors and modifies the plan of care as needed.
• Plan and/or assist with patient discharge from therapy services and provides information regarding appropriate selection/use of adaptive equipment and support programs.
• Oversee the care provided by certified occupational therapy assistants and therapy 3-Technicians according to established regulations and practice standards.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Occupational Therapy (OT) credentialed from the Florida Board of Occupational Therapy prior to hire date or job transfer date required.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's OR Doctorate degree preferred.
