Job summary

Silverwood Post Acute Hospital is seeking a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate residents, plan and implement individualized treatment to improve mobility and independence. You will supervise COTAs and aides, communicate progress to physicians and families, and ensure compliant documentation across the care team.

Qualifications include a state OT license, CPR, and a degree in Occupational Therapy (Masters/Doctorate preferred).

Qualifications

• Licensed Occupational Therapist in the state.
• CPR certification, if required by licensure.
• Continued education requirements must be met per state practice.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehab potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans for mobility and independence.
• Supervise Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants and aides.
• Communicate with physicians, families, and care teams about progress and discharge planning.
• Complete documentation per facility, state, and payer requirements.
• Maintain safe treatment environments and infection control practices.
• Educate residents and families on goals, home programs, and fall prevention.
• Assist with ordering durable medical equipment as needed.
