Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Masters/Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
• Continuing education requirements per state practices.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours or 1 business day after referral.
• Develop treatment plan and obtain physician approval.
• Treat patients per physician plan.
• Supervise COTA and aides.
• Communicate progress with supervisor and health team members.
• Participate in Patient Care, Utilization, and Rehab Conferences as needed.
• Record evaluations and daily/weekly progress notes per policy.
• Instruct families and nursing staff on discharge maintenance.
• Recommend durable medical equipment to support mobility.
• Report equipment problems to maintain functionality.
• Relate positively with patients, families, staff and colleagues.
