Job summary

Richland-Post-Acute seeks a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat residents, develop individualized treatment plans, and document care in medical records. You will supervise COTAs and aides, train staff, and collaborate with physicians, families, and the care team to plan discharge goals.

The role requires licensure in the state, a OT degree and strong communication, documentation, and hands-on therapy skills to enhance mobility and independence for residents in our facility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Therapy.
• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy preferred.
• Licensed OT in the state; continuing education as required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate residents to determine OT needs and rehabilitation potential.
• Develop and update individualized treatment plans to improve mobility and functional independence.
• Supervise COTAs and aides; provide in-services and staff training.
• Document care timely and accurately per policy and payer requirements.
• Communicate progress and discharge planning with residents, families, physicians and staff.
