Job summary

Arbor Post Acute seeks a Staff Occupational Therapist to evaluate and treat patients, coordinate with families and physicians, and maintain comprehensive documentation in medical records. The role includes supervising COTA and aides, providing staff training, and contributing to care conferences.

The position requires a Bachelor's in Occupational Therapy (Master/Doctorate preferred in OT) and licensure in the state, with proficiency in Casamba and Point Click Care.

Qualifications

• Licensed as an Occupational Therapist in the state.
• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy; Masters/Doctorate preferred.
• Proficient with Casamba and PointClickCare software.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients within 24 hours of physician referral and document rationale for any delay.
• Develop and obtain approval for treatment plans from referring physicians.
• Treat patients per physician plan and document progress.
• Supervise COTA and aides in direct patient care.
• Communicate patient progress with supervisor and health team members.
• Record evaluations and treatment notes per regulatory requirements.
• Instruct families and staff on maintenance programs and discharge preparation.
