This is an excellent opportunity for an OT who enjoys working collaboratively with residents, families, nursing staff, and other rehabilitation professionals to help residents achieve greater independence and improve their quality of life.
Evaluate residents and develop individualized occupational therapy treatment plans.
Provide skilled occupational therapy services based on residents' needs and established care plans.
Implement therapeutic interventions to improve strength, coordination, mobility, ADLs, and functional independence.
Monitor and document residents' progress and modify treatment plans as appropriate.
Collaborate with PTs, PTAs, COTAs, SLPs, nursing staff, physicians, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, safety, and home exercise programs.
Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
Current Texas Occupational Therapist (OT) license in good standing.
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or a similar setting preferred.
