AVIR at Alice is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Per Diem Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house rehabilitation team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a PTA who enjoys working directly with residents and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to help residents improve mobility, regain independence, and achieve their functional goals.
Position Responsibilities
- Provide skilled physical therapy services under the direction and supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist.
- Implement individualized treatment plans based on residents' needs and goals.
- Assist residents with therapeutic exercises, mobility training, balance activities, transfers, and functional activities.
- Monitor residents' progress and communicate changes to the supervising Physical Therapist.
- Document treatment sessions accurately and in a timely manner.
- Educate residents and caregivers on therapeutic exercises, mobility, and safety techniques.
- Collaborate with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
- Maintain compliance with facility, state, and federal regulations.
Qualifications
- Current Texas Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in good standing.
- Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
- Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
- Experience in skilled nursing, subacute rehabilitation, or a similar setting preferred.
- Compassionate, dependable, and resident-focused approach to care.
