Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality instruction and clinical education to LPN/PN and RN students. The role includes classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical activities with focus on student success and professional development.

Ideal candidates hold an MSN or higher and a current RN license, with at least 3 years of RN experience and relevant clinical teaching skills.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Prior nursing education or teaching experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive, supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely student progress reports and grade reports.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance records.
• Attend faculty meetings and maintain professional qualifications.
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, clinical partners, and other members of the academic community.
