Job summary

Jersey College in New Jersey seeks a Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality instruction and clinical education to LPN/PN and RN students, including classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical settings. The instructor guides students in developing nursing knowledge, skills, and professional behaviors.

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with an MSN or higher, a current RN license, and at least three years of nursing practice.

Qualifications

MSN or higher nursing degree required.
Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state required.
Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
Nursing education experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students as assigned.
Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute sites.
Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
Deliver instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program standards and policies.
