Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality nursing instruction and clinical education for LPN/PN and RN students. The role may include classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical teaching to support student success.

The ideal candidate holds a Master of Science in Nursing or higher, an unrestricted RN license, and at least three years of RN experience, with a passion for education and professional development.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses taught.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a nursing specialty.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students, as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute sites.
• Create a positive, supportive learning environment for academic growth.
• Deliver instruction appropriate to educational level and needs of students.
• Supervise students in clinical settings and promote safe practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence.
• Prepare accurate progress and grade reports; maintain attendance records.
• Provide guidance and feedback to promote successful learning outcomes.
• Maintain current nursing knowledge and participate in continuing education.
• Collaborate with faculty, administration, and clinical partners.
