Job summary

UBMD Obstetrics & Gynecology is seeking a Surgical Scheduler to manage surgical scheduling for assigned physicians. You will coordinate with hospitals and centers, arrange pre-operative testing, and ensure all paperwork and authorizations are completed in a timely manner.

The role requires excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced clinical environment. This is a full-time, in-person position with competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of medical terminology required.
• Experience verifying insurance eligibility, referrals, and prior authorizations.
• Experience working with EMR systems (Epic preferred).
• Excellent organizational, multitasking, and time management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and schedules surgeries and follow-up appointments as designated by physicians.
• Interacts with patients, physicians, and staff at the Clinic and external facilities with accurate, timely information.
• Routes and submits paperwork to meet physician and facility requirements.
• Maintains efficient telephone communication and professional conduct.
• Follows all clinic protocols and safety guidelines, including HIPAA.
