Job summary

Women’s Care is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to provide professional clerical support and manage surgery appointments. The role requires verifying benefits, coordinating referrals, and scheduling follow-ups in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate has at least two years of surgery scheduling experience, preferably in OB/GYN, and strong knowledge of medical terminology. This is a full-time on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum two years surgery scheduling experience, preferably OBGYN.
• Prior experience verifying patient benefits.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to multi-task in a deadline-driven environment.
• Ability to communicate with coworkers, providers and patients effectively.
• Proficient data entry in electronic medical record systems.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgery and follow-up appointments.
• Check in patients after surgery.
• Verify insurance benefits for patients.
• Coordinate referrals related to pending surgeries.
• Schedule patients for Level 2 sonograms.
• Represent clinic in a professional manner with patients and staff.
• Attend required meetings and participate in team activities.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance in all duties.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
