Job summary

Women’s Care in the United States is seeking a Surgery Scheduler to provide clerical support and schedule surgery and related appointments. You will verify benefits, coordinate referrals, and maintain professional interactions with patients and staff.

The role requires accuracy, reliability, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while adhering to HIPAA guidelines and clinic policies.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Minimum two years surgery scheduling experience, preferably OBGYN.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to multitask in a stressful, deadline-oriented environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with coworkers, providers and patients.
• Experience entering data in electronic medical record system, preferably eCW.

Responsibilities

• Schedule surgery appointments and follow-up appointments.
• Check in patients following surgery.
• Verifies insurance benefits.
• Coordinates referrals related to pending surgeries.
• Schedules patients for Level 2 sonograms.
• Represents clinic in a professional manner.
• Attends required meetings and participates in team activities and professional development activities.
• Demonstrates HIPAA compliance and guidelines.
• Other duties as assigned.
