Job summary

Capital Health is seeking a Patient Reception Representative for a full-time day shift at the Bordentown OB/GYN practice in New Jersey. You will answer calls, schedule appointments and tests, greet patients, collect co-pays, and ensure accurate registration and insurance information.

HIPAA compliance and professional patient interaction are essential. Responsibilities include day-end reconciliations, referrals, and coordinating with Care teams.

Qualifications

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1 year as receptionist or clerk in healthcare or 1 year in customer service.
• Knowledge: Medical terminology, ICD-10 and CPT codes.
• Special Training: Proficient computer skills; basic Microsoft Office; familiarity with Excel.

Responsibilities

• Answers telephones promptly and courteously; routes calls to appropriate area.
• Schedules and cancels appointments; prepares new patient charts and paperwork.
• Registers patients and verifies demographic and insurance information; collects co-pays and balances.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and patient privacy; documents in system; handles day-end reconciliation.
