Job summary

The Michaels NYC store in Manhattan is seeking a Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture, drive sales results, and deliver an engaging customer experience. You will oversee front-end and service operations, coach teammates on selling behaviors, ensure brand standards and SOP compliance, and manage day-to-day execution with POS and omni-channel services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage SOPs and company programs to ensure compliance with laws and requirements.
• Enforce policies and standards, holding team accountable for store conditions and results.
• Coach customer experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion and satisfaction.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage, maintaining floor leadership and service standards.
• Oversee POS and Self-Checkout usage to support smooth transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs and events (Balloons, Birthday parties).
• Promote Loyalty Rewards Program to drive retention and visits.
• Drive omni-channel service including BOPIS and Same Day Delivery.
• Support Custom Framing operations and training of staff.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
