Job summary

The Michaels Companies is looking for a Retail Sales Manager to lead a high-performing selling culture at the Queens/Forest Hills store. You will drive sales results, champion customer experience, and oversee front-end operations to ensure brand standards and operational excellence.

You will coach and develop staff, manage POS/Self-Checkout, and support in-store programs like Loyalty Rewards and protection plans, while ensuring omni-channel services such as BOPIS and Same Day Delivery run

Qualifications

• 3+ years retail leadership experience.
• Ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve sales and service KPIs.
• Strong customer-focused coaching and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Store Manager in leading SOPs and Company programs to ensure compliance.
• Model and coach Customer Experience and selling behaviors to drive conversion.
• Provide Manager-on-Duty coverage and maintain floor leadership and service standards.
• Manage POS and Self-Checkout operations for smooth transactions.
• Oversee in-store programs (Balloons, Loyalty Rewards, protection plans) and omni-channel initiatives.
• Train and develop team members through onboarding and ongoing skill-building.
