Job summary

Empowered Hospitality in New York, NY is seeking a General Manager for our Quick Service Restaurant clients. You will lead daily store operations, drive guest satisfaction, and manage a talented FOH/BOH team to deliver consistent results.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in food-service management, strong hospitality operations background, and proven ability to grow high-volume teams while maintaining financial controls and compliance. Flexible weekends and holidays required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of management experience in a bakery, café, restaurant, or similar food-service environment.
• Strong hospitality/F&B operations background.
• Experience managing and developing high-volume teams.
• Working knowledge of store financials, labor, inventory, and operational controls.
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• NYC Food Protection/DOH certification or scheduled examination.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily store operations and deliver an exceptional guest experience
• Manage, coach, train, and develop a large FOH/BOH team
• Oversee scheduling, payroll, inventory, purchasing, banking, and sales reporting
• Monitor product quality, inventory levels, sales, and waste
• Maintain food safety, sanitation, and DOH compliance
• Build a positive, accountable, and supportive team culture
• Handle guest concerns and service recovery professionally
• Support community engagement and initiatives that drive guest loyalty
