HMSHost is seeking a General Manager I for a QSR restaurant or small cluster near Newark, NJ. The GM will ensure clean, staffed, and open operations while upholding high standards and driving profitability. Strong P&L focus and leadership are essential to guide teams and achieve targets.

The role requires managing hiring, onboarding, coaching, and compliance with brand standards, while implementing marketing and operational plans to maximize revenue and guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of restaurant management with P&L responsibility
• Experience in QSR or multi-unit operations
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Bachelor's degree in hospitality or equivalent
• Ability to manage staffing, scheduling and onboarding

Responsibilities

• Open and close the restaurant and ensure readiness for opening.
• Staffing and deployment to maximize profitability and cover shifts.
• Oversee product availability, orders, invoices, and supplier issues.
• Maintain knowledge of brand standards and training requirements.
• Manage day-to-day restaurant operations and ensure safety compliance.
• Support reporting to operations leadership and monitor unit performance.
