Job summary

Atlas Healthcare, LLC is seeking a nursing supervisor for our long‑term care facility in New Jersey. The role directs daily activities of CNAs, ensures policy compliance, and oversees admissions, discharges, and transfers while coordinating with physicians and families.

The ideal candidate holds an RN or LPN license and a nursing degree or equivalent LPN/LVN program completion, with CPR cert. Prior long‑term care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Nursing degree from an accredited college or university or a graduate of an approved LPN/LVN program.
• Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the practicing state.
• Current CPR certification.

Responsibilities

• Directs the daily activities of the certified nursing assistants in accordance with current regulations and facility policies.
• Ensures compliance with policies and procedures by nursing personnel.
• Participates in admission, discharge and transfers of residents as required.
• Observes resident status changes and communicates with physicians and families, documenting accordingly.
• Transcribes physician orders to the medical record and carries out orders as written.
• Prepares and administers medications as per physicians’ orders and observes for adverse effects.
• Performs wound treatments and documents changes.
• Schedules follow-up appointments and transportation needs.
• Provides nursing leadership to the nursing personnel on the unit.
• Provides direct care skills as needed and ensures resident needs are met.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary team to meet residents’ needs.
