Job summary

Harboroaks is seeking a Scheduling Coordinator to organize and prepare work schedules for nursing units based on census and patient acuity. You will monitor staffing levels, coordinate coverage, and maintain timely communications with leadership and staff.

The role requires a high school diploma, proficiency with Word and Excel, and experience with automated scheduling platforms. CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification are required; hospital experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with automated scheduling platforms required.
• Experience in healthcare scheduling preferred.
• Microsoft Word and Excel software knowledge and experience required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor census, staffing, scheduled admissions and discharges to ensure staff availability for each shift.
• Prepare monthly staffing schedule and communicate issues to appropriate staff.
• Amend staffing schedule as requested to provide quality patient care.
• Responsible for finding coverage for all nursing time-off requests and call-outs.
• Track absenteeism as assigned.
• Coordinate staffing for program transports, as needed.
• Provide administrative support; calculate lateness, Daily FTE and weekend shift reports and distribute to leaders.
• Collect and calculate time clock adjustment forms and punch detail reports.
• Work with HR and payroll to resolve paycheck issues.
• Attend staffing meetings and nursing leadership meetings.
