Job summary

Harboroaks is seeking a Staffing Scheduler for nursing units in Fox Acres, Ohio. This role organizes and prepares work schedules based on census and patient acuity to ensure safe, efficient staffing.

You will monitor staffing levels, coordinate accommodations for time-off, and collaborate with HR and payroll to resolve issues, while maintaining compliance with hospital policies and nursing guidelines.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience with automated scheduling platforms required.
• Experience in healthcare scheduling preferred.
• Microsoft Word and Excel knowledge required.

Responsibilities

• Monitor census, staffing, admissions and discharges to ensure adequate staff per shift.
• Prepare monthly staffing schedule and communicate issues to staff.
• Amend staffing schedule to provide quality patient care.
• Find coverage for time-off requests and call-outs.
• Track absenteeism as assigned.
• Coordinate staffing for program transports as needed.
• Provide administrative support as needed.
• Calculate lateness, Daily FTE and weekend shift reports and share with leaders.
• Collect and calculate nursing time clock adjustment forms and punch detail reports.
• Work with HR and payroll to resolve paycheck issues.
• Attend staffing meetings and nursing leadership meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.
