Qualifications

• RN licensed nurse required.
• Strong leadership and supervision skills in a long-term care setting.
• Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations governing nursing services.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day nursing activities during tour of duty.
• Assist in directing day-to-day nursing functions according to rules and guidelines.
• Develop, maintain, and update written policies and procedures for nursing service.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and followed.
• Provide written and oral reports to the Director of Nursing Services as needed.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Participate in quality assurance and facility surveys as requested.
• Ensure adequate staffing of RNs/LPNs and CNAs for shifts.
• Review discharge plans and assist in planning for resident discharge.
