Job summary

NORTHSTAR in is seeking a Nursing Supervisor to oversee day‑to‑day nursing activities. The role ensures adherence to federal, state, and local standards, guiding the nursing team to maintain high-quality resident care.

The supervisor will work with the DON/ADON where applicable, participate in QA programs, and coordinate care plans with other resident services to ensure continuity of care across shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Director of Nursing Services in directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities.
• Develop, maintain, and update policies and procedures for the nursing service department.
• Ensure Nursing Service Procedures Manual is current and reflective of daily procedures.
• Ensure nursing staff comply with Nursing Service Procedures Manual.
• Complete reports and recommendations to the Director as required.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of the facility's quality assurance program.
