Job summary

SUNSETRIDGE in seeks a Nursing Supervisor to oversee the day-to-day nursing activities in a long-term care facility, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations. The role includes directing nursing staff, maintaining policies, and participating in committees to uphold high-quality resident care.

The position requires strong clinical supervision, regulatory knowledge, and leadership to coordinate care across departments and ensure accurate documentation and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Direct the day-to-day nursing activities in accordance with current rules and guidelines to maintain high-quality care.
• Develop, maintain, and update the Nursing Service Procedures Manual and ensure staff compliance.
• Provide reports and recommendations to the Director regarding nursing service operations.
• Participate in quality assurance activities and in facility surveys conducted by government agencies.
• Assist in coordinating nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Ensure adequate staffing of RNs/LPNs and CNAs for each tour of duty and supervise assigned personnel.
• Oversee admissions, transfers, discharges, and daily rounds to ensure proper resident care and documentation.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant nursing environment, including infection control and safety drills.
