Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, a Hartford HealthCare partner, seeks a Nursing Professional Development (NPD) practitioner. As an RN with NPD practice, you will influence learner competence, support onboarding, and collaborate with nursing leadership to promote education and quality improvement across the region.

The ideal candidate holds a BSN, at least 3 years of clinical nursing plus 1 year in acute care, and is licensed in CT with NPD or clinical specialty certification within two years.

Qualifications

BSN is required.
Minimum of 3 years of active clinical nursing experience.
At least 1 year of experience in an acute care environment or area of specialty for ambulatory/ancillary environments.
Experience as a preceptor.

Responsibilities

Support learners within the Nursing Professional Development framework as approved by ANA.
Collaborate with nursing leadership to foster competency management, clinical nursing education, and onboarding/orientation of Hartford HealthCare colleagues.
Promote policy standardization, evidence-based practice, and professional development across the region.
