Job summary

Manchester Memorial Hospital, Inc. is seeking a Nursing Professional Development practitioner (RN) to influence learner competency within Hartford HealthCare. The role partners with nursing leadership to advance education, clinical nursing education, and onboarding across the organization.

The NPD practitioner will drive competency management, promote practice excellence, and use adult learning principles to improve patient care and safety within a high-reliability environment.

Qualifications

• BSN degree required.
• Licensed RN in CT prior to hire date.
• NPD or Clinical Specialty Certification within two years of hire/transfer.
• BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Develop, deliver and evaluate educational programs for learners.
• Collaborate with nursing leadership to support competency management and formal education.
• Guide transition to practice and onboarding of Hartford HealthCare colleagues.
• Promote continuous quality improvement in patient care through education.
