Job summary

The NPD Practitioner collaborates with colleagues to implement evidence-based practices, coaches caregivers and preceptors, and advances nursing education within the PDPE service line at St Vincent Regional

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited nursing program (degree verification required).
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS Certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
• Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource, consultant, and mentor to caregivers and preceptors, promoting self-reliance and teamwork.
• Guide new caregiver orientation and ongoing learning using standardized tools.
• Collaborate to understand goals and learning needs for care areas, applying evidence-based practices.
• Facilitate interprofessional learning and advancement in nursing practice.
• Foster inquiry and sharing of new knowledge to improve patient care.
• Promote the NPD specialty within the organization and support professional development.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions for new and existing caregivers.
