Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to guide caregivers in orientation and ongoing learning. The role spans educational design, adult learning principles, and coaching across care teams, including clinical coaches and preceptors.

The NPD Practitioner collaborates to identify and address learning needs, fosters adoption of best practices, and leads interprofessional education to advance nursing and patient outcomes within the St Vincent

Qualifications

• BSN from an accredited institution; degree verification required.
• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS Certification for healthcare providers.
• Demonstrated experience in adult or staff development.
• Demonstrated nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a resource, consultant, and mentor to caregivers and preceptors, promoting self-reliance and teamwork.
• Collaborate with colleagues to understand goals, learning needs, and adoption of evidence-based practices.
• Provide coaching to preceptors and caregivers for learning, growth, and job enrichment.
• Facilitate interprofessional learning and advancement in nursing and healthcare.
• Foster inquiry and share new knowledge to guide nursing practice and patient care.
• Advocate for the NPD specialty and promote professional development.
• Partner with stakeholders to ensure smooth transitions for new and existing caregivers.
