Job summary

Intermountain Health is seeking an onsite Nursing Professional Development (NPD) Practitioner to support caregiver orientation and ongoing learning using adult learning principles. The role travels as needed to fulfill responsibilities within the care network.

The practitioner leads orientation, mentors staff, and partners across disciplines to promote evidence-based nursing practice and patient outcomes. BSN and RN license are required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN) required.
  • Current RN license in state of practice.
  • BLS certification for healthcare providers.
  • Experience in adult or staff development preferred.
  • Nursing experience required.

Responsibilities

  • Learning Facilitator: guide caregiver orientation, promote self-reliance, apply adult learning principles.
  • Change Agent: collaborate to identify learning needs and implement evidence-based practices.
  • Mentor: coach preceptors and caregivers for growth and development.
  • Leader: enable interprofessional learning and nursing advancement.
  • Champion for Inquiry: develop and share new knowledge to improve nursing practice and patient care.
  • Advocate for NPD: highlight value of NPD practices and professional development.
  • Partner for Practice Transition: support smooth adoption of new practices and orientation.
