Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health is seeking an Assistant Patient Services Manager (APSM) to lead nursing teams, ensure safe patient flow, and uphold PFCC principles in a 24/7 environment. The role collaborates with charge nurses, physicians, and ancillary staff to optimize clinical operations and financial performance.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of clinical nursing experience with leadership exposure, CT RN licensure, and a commitment to quality and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Two years of clinical nurse experience with at least one year in leadership/supervisory role.
• Current CT state RN licensure or eligibility; specialty certification preferred or willing to obtain within 18 months of hire.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree preferred, at least one nursing degree.
• Ability to direct a diverse workforce in a 24/7 operational environment; strong leadership and communication.

Responsibilities

• Patient Flow: lead clinical teams to ensure safe patient flow across care settings.
• Staffing and Effectiveness: ensure safe staffing levels and clinical competence.
• Financial Performance: participate in unit strategies impacting financial outcomes.
• Quality and Safety: model excellence in clinical practice and safe care.
• Service Excellence: deliver PFCC and uphold service standards.
• Support outpatient/urology flow as clinical lead under APSM.
