Job summary

Yale New Haven Health seeks an Assistant Patient Services Manager to lead patient flow, staffing, and service excellence in a defined nursing unit. This role requires clinical nursing expertise and leadership to ensure safe, high-quality care and positive patient outcomes.

As a clinical leader, you will collaborate with charge nurses, bed management, and medical teams to optimize operations while aligning with the organization’s mission, vision, and values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required; Master's preferred (one degree must be in nursing).
• Two years of clinical nurse experience and a minimum of 1 year leadership/supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient flow in collaboration with charge nurse and medical teams to ensure safe, timely care.
• Ensure safe staffing levels and clinical competence to deliver high-quality nursing care.
• Participate in unit strategies for financial well-being and forecast implications.
• Model a culture of safe, high-quality care and conduct regular rounds.
• Deliver PFCC (Patient and Family Centered Care) through service excellence and stakeholder engagement.
