Job summary

Jersey College in Scranton, PA seeks an experienced Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students. Depending on program needs, instructors may provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher, an active RN license, and at least 3 years of RN experience, with strong communication and assessment skills to support student success.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and experiences being taught.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters student growth.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy and standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely student progress and grade reports.
