Job summary

Jersey College is seeking experienced and passionate Registered Nurses with an MSN or higher to join our nursing education team. The Nursing Instructor will provide high-quality instruction and clinical education to LPN/PN and RN students, across classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical settings.

The ideal candidate has strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to student achievement.

Qualifications

Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher nursing degree required.
Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state required.
Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
Demonstrated knowledge and experience in a nursing specialty that contributes to student learning.

Responsibilities

Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students, as assigned.
Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
Deliver effective instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
