Job summary

Jersey College in Teterboro, NJ, is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality instruction and clinical education to LPN/PN and RN students. The role includes classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical components within our nursing programs.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher, an active RN license in New Jersey, and at least 3 years of recent nursing experience with a passion for student success in education.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in NJ.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.
• Experience with nursing education or teaching is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive learning environment that supports student growth and professional development.
• Deliver instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program standards.
• Prepare timely progress and grade reports and maintain attendance records.
