Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to provide high-quality classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction for LPN/PN and RN students. The adjunct role includes coordinating clinical experiences at various sites and evaluating student performance to ensure competency and progress.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher nursing degree and an active RN license in the relevant state with at least three years of RN practice.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree is required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Experience teaching in clinical or classroom settings preferred.
• Experience with LMS and educational technology preferred.
• Experience teaching LPN/PN and/or RN students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students, as assigned.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
• Prepare accurate and timely student progress reports and grade reports.
• Collaborate effectively with faculty, administration, clinical partners, and other members of the academic community.
