Job summary

Jersey College invites applications for a Nursing Instructor who will provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students. The instructor creates a supportive learning environment, evaluates student performance, and guides students toward professional nursing behaviors.

The ideal candidate is an experienced RN with an MSN or higher, strong clinical knowledge, excellent communication, and a commitment to student achievement.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Experience teaching LPN/PN and RN students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students, as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
• Maintain accurate and timely attendance records and student progress reports.
