Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality classroom, laboratory, simulation, and clinical instruction for LPN/PN and RN students across programs. The role emphasizes student success, evaluation of performance, and development of professional nursing behaviors.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher, is a currently licensed RN, and has strong communication and instructional skills to foster achievement in a dynamic academic environment.

Qualifications

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state required.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional Registered Nurse experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to the nursing courses and clinical experiences being taught.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN nursing students, as assigned.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute clinical sites.
• Create a positive and supportive learning environment that fosters students' academic growth and professional development.
• Deliver effective instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of LPN/PN and RN students.
• Supervise students in the clinical environment and promote safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence based on program philosophy, objectives, policies, and established standards.
