Job summary

Jersey College is seeking an experienced Nursing Instructor to deliver high-quality nursing instruction and clinical education for LPN/PN and RN students. You will teach classroom, lab, simulation, and clinical components and evaluate student progress.

The ideal candidate holds an MSN or higher, an unrestricted RN license, and a minimum of three years of RN practice with strong communication and mentoring skills to support student success.

Qualifications

• MSN or higher nursing degree required.
• Current, unrestricted RN license in the applicable state.
• Minimum of 3 years of recent professional RN experience.
• Clinical experience relevant to taught nursing courses.
• Nursing specialty knowledge contributing to student learning.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom, laboratory, simulation, and/or clinical instruction to LPN/PN and RN students.
• Provide clinical instruction at long-term care, sub-acute, and acute sites.
• Create a positive, supportive learning environment for student growth.
• Deliver instruction appropriate to the educational level and needs of students.
• Supervise students in clinical settings and ensure safe, professional nursing practice.
• Evaluate student performance and clinical competence against program standards.
• Prepare accurate progress and grade reports; maintain attendance records.
• Collaborate with faculty and clinical partners to support student achievement.
