Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions seeks a talented Cook for a Skilled Nursing Facility. In this role you will prepare, portion, and cook meals from standardized recipes, plate dishes, maintain kitchen sanitation, manage inventory and assist with recipe development, and handle special events.

Collaborate with the dietary team to ensure nutrition and presentation standards are met, and support the dietary manager in their absence.

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with experience in high-volume culinary operations.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: accurately prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: plate and garnish all cooked items for attractive presentation.
• Leadership Support: liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: maintain high sanitation standards by cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: manage inventory, stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development.
• Special Events: flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for events at the facility.
