Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions in New Jersey is seeking a talented Cook for a high-volume nursing facility kitchen. You will prepare and present nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, following standardized recipes, while maintaining a clean, compliant culinary environment.

You will also support the Dietary Manager, manage inventory and recipes, and handle special events; must be available every other weekend and aspire to uphold exceptional food quality and hospitality.

Qualifications

• Classically trained Cook with experience in high-volume culinary operations.
• Experience in a Skilled Nursing Facility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plate and garnish all cooked items to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
