Job summary

Live Well Healthcare Solutions is seeking a skilled Cook for a Nursing Facility role. You will prepare, portion, and cook nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes, while ensuring attractive plating and presentation.

You will support the Dietary Manager in their absence, maintain strict kitchen sanitation, manage inventory and recipe development, and handle last-minute requests for events and functions. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Classically trained cook with experience in high-volume kitchens.
• Ability to follow standardized recipes to ensure consistency.

Responsibilities

• Meal Preparation & Culinary Excellence: Accurately and efficiently prepare, portion, and cook a variety of nutritious meals for breakfast, lunch, and dinner following standardized recipes.
• Plating & Presentation: Plate and garnish all cooked items to ensure an attractive menu presentation.
• Leadership Support: Act as a liaison for the Dietary Manager during their absence to ensure seamless meal prep and delivery.
• Kitchen Sanitation: Maintain high sanitation standards by thoroughly cleaning the kitchen and all culinary equipment before and after food service.
• Inventory & Recipe Management: Manage inventory, handle stock rotation, assist with purchasing, and ensure recipe development and compliance.
• Special Events: Flexibly handle last-minute culinary requests for special events and facility functions.
