Job summary

Omega Senior Living in McCook, NE is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide routine daily nursing care per the resident's plan. Responsibilities include assisting with daily living activities, documentation, meal service, and ensuring resident safety.

Applicants must have a high school diploma or equivalent and be a state-certified CNA. Prior experience in SNF settings is preferred, with ongoing education and training encouraged.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Current Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) certification is required by the state.
• Licensed CNA with state-approved training and exams.
• Prior experience in AL or SNU, or at least 1 year as a certified nurse aide is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete the daily shift report and communicate urgent needs to the next shift.
• Follow policies and procedures and manage tasks within the scheduled shift.
• Assist with resident care including housekeeping, laundry, and social needs; use proper lifting techniques.
• Assist with serving meals and essential clean-up.
• Record entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., clearly and descriptively.
• Report changes in the resident’s condition to the DON/Charge Nurse/HWD promptly.
• Maintain resident privacy and promptly report any disclosure violations to the Administrator.
• Keep certification current and participate in continuing education and trainings.

Certified Nursing Assistant

Provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.

Essential Duties

• Responsible for completing the daily shift report and communicating directly to the next shift any urgent needs.
• Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors. Demonstrates ability to manage assigned tasks within the scheduled shift.
• Assist with resident care to include housekeeping, laundry, social needs, and demonstrates proper lifting techniques.
• Assist with serving meals and essential clean‑up.
• Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Report all changes in the resident’s condition to the DON/Charge Nurse/HWD as soon as practical.
• Agree not to disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.
• Will keep certification current and participate in continuing education to include staff meetings, in‑services and web‑based training.

Qualifications

• Must possess a minimum of a high school education or its equivalent.
• Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant from the state.
• Licensed Certified Nurse Assistant having successfully completed a state‑approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with the laws of this State.
• Prefer prior experience in AL or SNU, or prior experience as a certified nurse aide for at least 1 year.

• Must possess the ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.

• Must provide documentation of certification upon application for the position.
