Job summary

Omega Senior Living in Edmond, OK is seeking a Certified Nursing Assistant for 2nd shift, open to full-time or part-time schedules. You will provide routine daily nursing care per resident plans and follow supervisor instructions.

You will document care, maintain records, and communicate urgent needs to the next shift as required. The role requires a state CNA certification, high school diploma or equivalent, and a background in healthcare with strong communication and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Must possess, as a minimum, a high school education or its equivalent.
• Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant from the state.
• Must be a licensed Certified Nurse Assistant having successfully completed a state approved training program and any necessary examination(s) in accordance with the laws of this State.
• Prefer prior experience in AL or SNU.
• Prefer prior experience as a certified nurse aide for at least 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Complete the daily shift report and communicate urgent needs to the next shift.
• Follow established policies and procedures; manage tasks within the shift.
• Assist with resident care including housekeeping and laundry; assist with lifting techniques.
• Assist with serving meals and post-meal cleanup.
• Record entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., clearly and accurately.
• Report changes in resident condition to the DON/Charge Nurse promptly.
• Maintain resident privacy and report any HIPAA concerns to the Administrator.
• Keep CNA certification current and participate in ongoing education and meetings.

Certified Nursing Assistant

Provide each of your assigned residents with routine daily nursing care and services in accordance with the resident’s assessment and care plan, and as may be directed by your supervisors.

Essential Duties

• Responsible for completing the daily shift report and communicating directly to the next shift any urgent needs.
• Perform all assigned tasks in accordance with our established policies and procedures, and as instructed by your supervisors. Demonstrates ability to manage assigned tasks within the scheduled shift.
• Assists with resident care to include housekeeping, laundry, social needs, and demonstrates proper lifting techniques.
• Assists with serving meals and essential clean-up.
• Record all entries on flow sheets, notes, charts, etc., in an informative and descriptive manner.
• Report all changes in the resident’s condition to the DON/Charge Nurse/HWD as soon as practical.
• Agree not to disclose resident’s protected health information and promptly report suspected or known violations of such disclosure to the Administrator.
• Will keep certification current and participate in continuing education to include staff meetings, in services and web-based training.
