Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - St. Louis is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide compassionate, patient-centered care at our St. Charles, MO location.

The role includes personal care, rounds, patient transport, and maintaining a clean, organized environment in a high-acuity setting. Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years).
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform bathing using basin-less products, oral hygiene, feeding and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist in moving patients.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Position: Nursing Assistant (NA)

Location: St. Charles, MO

Schedule: PRN Day or Night 7-7a

Compensation: $22/PRN Rate ($1.50 night shift diff and $.75 weekend diff)

Sign-On Bonus: $1,500

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
