Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - St. Louis North in St. Louis, MO is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) for full-time day shifts. You will assist patients with daily care, mobility, and support the clinical team on a busy inpatient unit.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED OR 3+ years of relevant work experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital CNA experience or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform patient bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, and hair care.
• Participate in hourly rounds to monitor patient needs.
• Transport patients to treatment centers and assist with transfers.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs, and equipment.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly and manage unit stock levels.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Location: St. Louis, MO - Inside of Christian Northeast

Schedule: Full-Time Day 12 hour shifts, 7-7

Compensation: $19-$23.17 per hour, based on years of experience, +$1.50 diff for night shift

Sign-On Bonus: $3,000

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair
• Participate in hourly rounds
• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs
• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs
• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition
• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)
• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
