Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - St. Louis is seeking a Nursing Assistant (NA) in St. Charles, MO, for full-time day or night 12-hour shifts.

Compensation ranges from $19 to $23.17 per hour with a $1.50 night shift differential and a $3,000 sign-on bonus. We offer RN scholarship, tuition reimbursement, clinical ladder, and strong health benefits. Responsibilities include bathing, oral care, feeding, hourly rounds, patient transport, and keeping rooms and equipment clean and stocked.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or 3+ years related experience.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant or CNA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients with bathing, oral care, feeding, and hair care.
• Attend hourly rounds.
• Transport patients and assist with wheelchairs and stretchers.
• Maintain cleanliness of bedpans, urinals, wheelchairs, and other instruments.
• Keep patient rooms clean and orderly.
• Maintain unit stock of supplies and equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Compensation: $19-$23.17 per hour, based on years of experience, +$1.50 diff for night shift

Responsibilities

• Perform services for patients including bathing using basin-less bath products, oral hygiene, oral feeding and care of hair


• Participate in hourly rounds


• Transport patients to and from various treatment centers when necessary, and assist transporters in moving patients in and out of stretchers and wheelchairs


• Maintain the cleanliness of various instruments and equipment such as bedpans, urinals and wheelchairs


• Keep patients’ rooms in clean and orderly condition


• Maintain unit stock levels of supplies and equipment as directed


• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma/GED OR relevant work experience (3+ years)


• BLS is required within 90 days of hire

Preferred Qualifications

• Hospital experience as a nursing assistant, certification as a nursing assistant or experience in a related field (i.e. medical assistant, actively enrolled RN student)
