Job summary

Ascension in Avilla, IN, Sacred Heart Village, invites you to join our Assisted Living Nursing Unit as a PRN team member. This role supports physician-ordered procedures, helps with activities of daily living, and maintains a clean, safe patient environment.

Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and, ideally, a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. This position offers a supportive team, flexible hours, and opportunities to contribute to compassionate patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assist with physician-ordered procedures and report changes in patient physical, mental, or emotional conditions to the nursing staff.
• Provide population-specific assistance to facilitate timely and individualized care for assigned patients.
• Help patients with activities of daily living, personal care, and safe transfers or transport.
• Assist with keeping patient rooms clean, orderly, and conducive to a safe environment.
