Job summary

Advocate Health in Wisconsin is seeking a Nursing Assistant to join our 36-hour work week on weekday nights, with 0.9 FTE and every 3rd weekend. The role requires BLS and Nurse Aide certification in good standing, with flexible shifts and holiday commitments.

You will support RNs with daily patient care, monitor vitals, document in EMR, assist in admissions/discharges, and help with transport and basic procedures while maintaining safety standards.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication.
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.
• Certification Addendum.
• Team members will maintain annual educational requirements for hospital based certifications (e.g. DNV, CARF or others).

Responsibilities

• Assists RN with daily care of patients including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measures and documents vital signs and intake/output; documents in EMR.
• Performs rounding under direction of RN and communicates observations to RN.
• Assists in admission, transfer and discharge processes under supervision of RN.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Maintains nursing area stock, completes errands and cleans equipment.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties and assists with diet setup.
• Maintains skin integrity and ensures supplies are available as needed.
• May remove IVs, post mortem care, and bladder scans as required.
• Follows infection control practices and uses PPE as needed.
