Advocate Health Care’s Sherman Hospital is seeking a Nursing Assistant to support RNs in daily patient care at the Illinois campus. You will assist with bathing, feeding, mobility, vital signs, and documentation in the EMR, under RN supervision.

The role is full-time (36 hours/week) on day shift with rotating weekends and holidays. Requires a High School diploma or GED/HSED, basic computer skills, and strong communication and organizational abilities.

Formación

• High School Graduate, or GED/HSED.
• Maintain annual educational requirements for hospital-based certifications.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Basic computer skills; excellent oral and written communication; excellent organizational skills and ability to set priorities.

Responsabilidades

• Assists RN with daily patient care including bathing, oral hygiene, feeding, activity orders and ambulation.
• Measures and documents blood pressures, TPRs, Intake and Output, daily weights, and other patient data.
• Documents accurately in Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
• Performs rounding under direction of RN and communicates observations to RN.
• Participates in admission, transfer and discharge processes under supervision of RN.
• Ensures patient call lights are within reach and answered promptly.
• Collects specimens and performs point-of-care testing as indicated.
• Maintains competency and performs errands, stock, and housekeeping tasks as directed.
• Performs patient positioning and transporting duties with proper technique and assistive devices.
• Maintains skin integrity and dietary-related tasks as directed by RN.
