Job summary

Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Illinois is seeking a Nursing Assistant for the Nursing Float Pool. The role is full-time, 36 hours per week, night shift, with benefits eligible.

You will support RN duties, monitor patient vitals, and help with admissions, discharges, and routine care. Qualifications include a High School diploma or GED/HSED, basic computer skills, and BLS certification; prior experience is not required.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED/HSED with hospital-based certifications as required.
• Basic computer and documentation skills to use EMR systems.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist RN with daily patient care including bathing, feeding and mobility.
• Measure and document vital signs and intake/output; record in EMR.
• Perform rounding and communicate patient observations to the RN promptly.
• Support admission, transfer, and discharge tasks and prepare rooms.
• Collect specimens and assist with basic clinical procedures as directed.
